We started the year strong in January with a dawn-to-dusk canoe paddle on the River Wye, accompanied by our awesome river guide Richard Hill. We also managed to choose one of the coldest days of the winter…it was -2 degrees when we set off, and didn’t really warm up much. Even three layers of thermals and waterproofs didn’t insulate us from the chill. But we were rewarded with blue skies …
The last challenge of 2023 was a hike across Seven Sisters Country Park on the South Downs, followed by a sea dip…well, it was a hardcore dip for Sarah and a paddle for me! A million thanks to everyone who has supported us and cheered us on this year…we are already at over £4,000!There’s lots more madness to come in 2024, starting with a Dawn-To-Dusk Canoe Challenge on the River …

Sadly the famous Stepping Stones could not be attempted as the river was too high. The weather was mostly …
It’s time for our next challenge! On Sunday 22nd October, Basia and Sarah (and special guest) are trekking 25k along the Welsh Coast Path, taking in Ogmore Steppingstones, Kenfig Pool and Nature Reserve, Merthyr Mawr Sand Dunes and Newton Beach. They are being joined by an Uni friend, Andy Hobby, an optometrist and a local of the region. Thank you for organising this one, Andy! …
The Scilly Swim and Run was a real challenge for us both: Sarah swam 15k and Basia ran the equivalent distance on dry land. We gave it our all, despite tricky currents and rocky terrain. Thrillingly, this challenge alone has raised £1100, meaning we have raised £2800 so far this year. Thank you to everyone who has supported us, both with donations and with encouragement! Our next challenge is a …
