We started the year strong in January with a dawn-to-dusk canoe paddle on the River Wye, accompanied by our awesome river guide Richard Hill. We also managed to choose one of the coldest days of the winter…it was -2 degrees when we set off, and didn’t really warm up much. Even three layers of thermals and waterproofs didn’t insulate us from the chill.
But we were rewarded with blue skies and stunning views of nature and countryside, and managed over 25 miles between Glasbury and Byecross, arriving just as the sun was setting.
