October’s Welsh Coast Path Challenge featured several special guests, and was expertly organised for us by our “old” Uni buddy, Andy.
A 25k hike along the glorious Welsh coast at Porthcawl, through Kenfig Nature Reserve, across sand dunes and beaches and then inland along the River Ogmore, across the Wobbly Bridge.
Sadly the famous Stepping Stones could not be attempted as the river was too high.
The weather was mostly kind, but we were hit by a fierce horizontal rain shower on the most exposed beach. It just made the beer and cider at the finish line pub taste even better.
